Housekeeping
Which rooms need cleaning today, who does them, and whether they are done.
The housekeeping board shows one day: which rooms need cleaning, who does them, and what is already done. The list builds itself from departures, guests who stay on, and maintenance.
The board
One line per room, rooms with work at the top. On each line you see:
- the state of the room, such as "Clean", "Dirty" or "Out of service";
- what needs doing: "Departure", "Stayover" or "Maintenance", with the estimated minutes;
- who does it, chosen from everyone with the housekeeping role or higher; "Nobody yet" while it is open;
- a "Note", saved as soon as you leave the field;
- the "Done" button. After that it becomes "Inspected", for whoever checks the room.
A tick counts on screen straight away, even with poor reception in a corridor. It goes through as soon as there is a connection again.
"Previous day" and "Next day" look one day back or ahead.
Splitting the work
"Propose a split" divides the rooms over your cleaners, based on the estimated time per room. You see the rooms and minutes per person. Change what you like; only "Assign like this" makes it final.
Other buttons
- "Refresh the list" creates the day's tasks again. Useful when you have just entered a booking for today. Pressing it twice does no harm.
- "Print" gives a paper list with the names and an empty box per room to tick off with a pen.
Good to know
- If a guest leaves today without an assigned room, there is no task for it: the board does not know which room it is. The board says so, with an "Assign rooms" button to those bookings.
- A room you tick off here also shows as done on Today, and the other way round.
- Someone with the housekeeping role sees this screen as "My work": they can assign and tick off tasks, and change nothing else. You invite someone in Settings.
