Activity log

The activity log is your property's trail. Every change to a booking, a price, a room or a setting is in it, with who did it, when, what it was and what it became. It also shows what a channel, a rule or Noren itself changed, and who viewed or exported data.

Reading a line

Each line says who did it, what happened and when. Below that, each changed field shows its old and new value, for example a price going from €120.00 to €135.00. If there was a reason, as with a cancellation or a closed period, it is shown too. If the line is about a booking, a click opens the booking panel.

For a field that is stored encrypted, such as a key or a password, you only see that it changed. The value itself is not in the log.

Filtering

• "Person or key": one colleague or one API key.
• "Done by": a person from the property, a channel, a guest, a rule you switched on, Noren itself.
• "Kind of action": for example "Reservations", "Prices" or "Data access and exports".
• "Subject": what it is about, such as a room type or a season.
• "From" and "Up to and including": the period.

Click "Show". "Clear all" removes all filters. As on Bookings, you can keep a filter with "Save this view".

Export

"To Excel" makes a workbook of the list as you filtered it. At the top are the property, your filters in words, the time zone and when it was made; times are on your property's clock. The "Definitions" sheet says what each column means. Under "Other format" you choose a CSV with semicolons or with commas.

The export is made in the background and appears under "Exports" once it is ready, with the kind of file next to it. The link works for seven days. An export is itself recorded in the log.

Good to know

• Only people who may set up the property can open the log. It shows what colleagues did and who looked at personal data.
• Records of who viewed or exported data are kept for one year. Changes are kept for as long as you are a customer, and seven years after that.
• In the booking panel, "Everything about this reservation in the activity log" brings you here, filtered on that one booking.
• The log cannot be edited or emptied.
