Calendar
Who is in which room, and what you sell each night at what price.
The calendar shows the same days in two ways. "Occupancy" shows who is in which room; "Prices" shows, per room type, what is free and at what price. You switch with the two buttons above the grid.
Occupancy
Your rooms are the rows, the nights the columns, and each booking is a bar. Besides its colour, every bar carries a symbol. Bookings without a room sit in the "Unassigned" row.
- Click a bar to open the booking. You stay on the same week. Add a note for the guest there with "Note", on your phone too.
- Drag a bar to another room or other dates. When you let go, "Move" opens: keep the current price, or recalculate it. Only the button in that window moves the booking. If it cannot go there, the note next to the bar says why.
- Drag to a different room type and you choose in "Different room type" what happens to the price: for a dearer type "Upgrade at no extra cost" or "Charge the new price", for a cheaper type "Keep the price" or "Lower price". This only works on the same dates.
- Undo the last move reverses your last moves, up to ten steps.
- "Assign rooms" gives every booking without a room in this window a room, leaving as few loose nights as possible. Locked rooms stay where they are, and you see how many did not fit.
A booking of a combined unit, like the whole house, shows as an ordinary bar on that unit's row, and on every room that is part of it as a bar with a double border and the name of the combination in front. Click it to open the booking. You do not drag those bars on the rooms: the rooms move along when you drag the booking to other days on its own row. On the price grid the combined unit shows what can still be booked: 0 as soon as one of its rooms is taken or out of service. See Rooms.
Without a mouse: space picks up a booking, the arrow keys move it, Enter puts it down and Escape lets go.
Prices
Select nights by dragging across the cells; hold Ctrl or Cmd to start a second block. On a phone, tap the first and the last cell. In the bar below you set:
- "Price per night": a price set by hand. It wins over the base rate and the season from Rates. "Back to the season" removes it again.
- "Min. nights on arrival": the minimum stay for a stay that starts on that night.
- "Min. through": every stay that includes these nights lasts at least this long, wherever it starts. A minimum through of 3 on Saturday refuses Friday to Sunday but allows Thursday to Sunday. The cell shows it as ↔3; "Remove minimum through" removes it. If a night has both, the minimum through counts.
- "Close" or "Open": whether the nights are for sale.
A D at the bottom left of a cell means direct only: the channels are closed for that night by the last-rooms threshold, and your own booking engine still sells it. You set that threshold on Channels.
"Apply" carries everything out at once, or nothing. If something does not fully reach a connected channel, that shows next to the button before you apply. Changing a price needs a connection.
Closing a period, or being away
- "Close from … to …" closes a period for the room types you choose, with a required reason. You see any existing bookings first; they stay. "Open again" reopens the whole period at once.
- "I am away" is for days when you are not there. You choose whether guests can arrive, leave or turn over. "Check" shows which bookings are affected and what each channel takes over; "Save" stores it.
Resources
If you have resources on Extras, such as bicycles or the sauna, the Resources block appears below the rooms: per resource per day how many are still free, for example 3 of 4. A full day is hatched. For something with time slots, click a day to see how many places are free in each slot; "Close" folds it away again. A resource is not dragged: it has no number.
