Changelog

What's new.

Every change you notice as a host, with the day it was finished. Short, and without jargon.

  1. Redo after undo

On Attention, a line you undid now has "Redo". It carries out the same action again, with today's checks: is the room still free, is the booking still there, are the nights still for sale. If it is no longer possible, nothing changes and one sentence says why. If it works, you can undo it again. Merging guests can be redone up to thirty days after the merge.

  2. Early check-in and late check-out for sale

Under Rates you set time slots with a price: early check-in from a time, late check-out until a time. If a guest gives a time outside your usual times during online check-in, they are offered the matching time slot, but only if it is possible: early only in a room that was empty the night before, late only if housekeeping can still get the room ready for the next guest.

You choose whether a purchase comes to you first (an attention point with one button) or goes on the bill straight away. What has been sold is on Today and on the cleaning list.

  3. Calm updates, and your booking engine version in your own hands

When something changes on a screen, its header says "New", even before the day it changes. One click shows what will be different; after that it is gone, on your phone too. If an update means you sign in once more, that shows above every screen at least a day ahead.

A new version of the booking engine first runs next to the current one for a while, for half of your guests. Under Your property you see per version how many searches became a booking. If your guests book less often with the new one, you stay on the old one. You can also pin a version yourself.

  4. Pay yearly: twelve months for the price of ten

You can now pay yearly: twelve months for the price of ten, on one invoice in advance. The calculator on the pricing page and the sign-up form show the amount per year for each plan and what it saves per month, and the line under the button then gives the terms of a yearly contract.

On Settings, under your subscription, you see what the other choice costs and from which day it would apply. Monthly to yearly applies from your next invoice, back to monthly from the end of your contract year. A scheduled switch can be withdrawn with one button.

  5. Child prices by age, and a room on option

Under Rates you set up to four age groups besides adults, for example baby, child and teen. For each group you choose what a child pays: nothing, a fixed amount or a share of the adult price. The booking engine and the booking page ask how many children come in each group.

A booking can now also start as a request or an option, with a date on which it lapses. The guest gets a reminder the day before, and after that date the room is released on its own.

  6. A front door to the demo, and everything in three languages

The demo has its own page: first you read what it is, then you open it with one button. Signing in asks for your own email address and password again. The status page shows how each component did over the last 90 days.

The site, the terms, the privacy statement, the data processing agreement and the accessibility statement are now in Dutch, English and Spanish, each at an address in its own language. The site also follows your device's dark mode.

  7. Signing up with your rooms carried over, and this page

If you worked out your price with the calculator, sign-up now starts at that number of rooms. The form tells you in your own language what is still missing, right under the field.

New: this page with what changed, a roadmap with what is coming, pages for anyone switching, and a contact page. If you want a short email with every change, sign up below.

  8. Today redesigned, with the menu at the top

On a computer the menu now sits in a bar at the top, in the order you chose. Today shows tonight's rooms (free, staying, arriving, leaving, dirty), per guest what is still missing with the action next to it, and the three things waiting for you. You switch blocks on and off yourself.

Twenty daily tasks now take a fixed number of clicks, and that number will not grow.

  9. Prices within your limits, adjusting themselves

Per room type and period you set a floor and a ceiling, and no price goes outside them. Set the order of your room types and a simpler room is never priced above a better one. The "why this price" panel says which rule set the price.

If you want it, prices are adjusted for you within those limits: up when there was demand you could not serve, down when a night is behind and there is still time. Every step has a reason in plain words and can be undone in one action. The effect per month is on the attention screen.

  10. A new site and a fresh look

The site has been redesigned, with a product tour, a calculator for your monthly price and every question on one page. The product itself got a fresher look: pure white, a bright green accent and status colours you read at a glance. What is not live yet is marked "Coming soon".

  11. Upgrades, extras and fellow travellers at check-in

During online check-in a guest can choose a better room when it is free for every night, and then order extras. The price difference goes on the open balance and is paid on arrival.

Each fellow traveller gets their own link and only fills in their own details. On the Guests screen an invited traveller only counts once they have finished.

  12. Guest messages in one inbox

One thread per guest, with the booking beside it, and whoever has waited longest at the top. A draft reply is prepared in the guest's language, but nothing is ever sent without you. Real incoming email goes live with the first property.

  13. German for your guests

The booking form, check-in, emails and documents now also come in German, next to Dutch, English and Spanish. A guest with a German browser gets German, with dates and amounts the way they expect them.

Linking an authenticator app for two-factor sign-in now works with a QR code, without retyping a long code.

  14. On the phone, even without signal

Buttons and bars on a phone are now big enough for your thumb. What you change without signal, on the housekeeping board for example, waits on the phone and goes through exactly once when the connection is back.

  15. Your day in the order of the clock

Today now shows a timeline of the day: arrivals, departures and housekeeping, each with one button. If a guest still has money outstanding, the button is to settle it, so the amount is not forgotten.

Also new: four filters on the Guests screen, the expected arrival time you set yourself on the booking, and a clearer autonomy panel that says per type when the system notices something and what it would do.

  16. The menu is yours

Put the items in the side bar in your own order and leave out what you do not use. Leaving something out does not switch it off: it keeps working and search still finds it. Clicking the name of your property takes you back to the start.

  17. See what actually reaches each channel

Not every channel understands every setting. Booking.com applies a minimum stay to each night, Airbnb only to the arrival day. The system knows this per channel and tells you before you save what will and will not arrive.

If a channel still drifts out of step, the difference shows up in your attention list with a suggested fix. The channel connection itself goes live with the first property.

  18. Sensitive guest data better protected

Date of birth, place of birth and document details are now encrypted field by field, and only people with the right permission can see them. They are deleted automatically once the legal retention period ends.

When a guest asks for their data, you export everything about them in one go. You can also anonymise a guest and keep your financial history intact.
