Mail-outs
A message to past guests who gave consent, with a test to yourself before it goes out.
On Mail-outs you write a message to past guests who gave consent to receive post, for example about a new season. That is different from the guest mails: those belong to a booking and always go out.
Writing a message
- Click "Write a message".
- Give it a "Name"; that is for you, the guest never sees it. Fill in the "Subject".
- Under "Who gets it", choose "Everyone who ever came", "In the past year" or "In the past two years". Tick "Only those who booked directly" if you want. The counter below tells you how many guests will get it.
- Build the content from blocks: "Paragraph", "Heading" or "Button", the last with the address the button leads to. "Add a block" adds one below, "Remove" takes one away.
- Click "Test to myself". The test goes to your own email address, with [proef] in front of the subject.
- If everything is right, click "Send". The message goes out in batches; the card shows how many have been sent so far.
You write one text, in the language of your dashboard. Every guest gets that text, with the greeting in their own language.
What is fixed
- Only with consent. Anyone who gave no consent, unsubscribed, or whose address bounced or complained gets nothing, whatever you choose. Under the counter you see how many guests fall outside the selection for those reasons. Consent per guest is in the guest file on Guests.
- Unsubscribing is always in. At the bottom of every message it says why the guest gets it, with an unsubscribe link. Mail programs also show their own unsubscribe button. Whoever unsubscribes then shows as "Unsubscribed" in the guest file.
- A postal address is required. At the bottom it says who sends the message, with a postal address: your billing address from Settings, otherwise the address of your property. If that is missing, a notice appears at the top and nothing goes out, not even a test. Add the address under Your property.
- A test first. "Send" only works after a test. If you change something afterwards and save, send a new test first.
- A message that has been sent can no longer be edited.
- We do not measure whether a message is opened or clicked.
