Your own integrations
Connect a till, accounting package or system of your own to your property with a webhook or an API key, and see what arrived.
This is where you connect a system Noren does not know itself: a till, your accounting package, a key system. You only need this screen when such a system asks for it; whoever builds it will know what to do with an address or a key.
Webhooks
A webhook is an address Noren reports every change at your property to, usually within a minute.
- Under "Address", enter the https address you got from the builder. If you have more than one property, choose the "Property".
- Under "Events", choose what goes there, for example only "Booking created" and "Booking cancelled". Everything is on by default.
- Click "Add". You now see "The secret for this destination", once. Give it to the builder.
"Test" makes Noren send a trial message straight away and tells you whether it arrived. "Choose events" changes the choice; "Remove" takes the address away, without asking.
Delivery log
The last fifty messages: when, which event, to which address, how many attempts and the status. "Delivered" means it arrived. If it failed, Noren tries again later and shows when; after ten attempts it says "Gave up", with the last error. "Replay" sends the same message again, for example if the receiver was down for a day.
API keys
A key gives one system access to one property. Click "Create key", fill in "Where will it live?" and choose what it may do: read events, or charge a guest's bill (a till). Copy the key straight away: Noren shows it only once. Each key shows when it was last used. When a system stops, click "Revoke".
Good to know
- Only someone who may manage integrations can add, test and revoke. Others see the screen without the buttons.
- When your subscription ends, all addresses and keys are switched off straight away, except a key with only the right "Export all data (switching)". For thirty days after the end date it still fetches everything at once (
GET /api/v1/export), for switching to another system, and can do nothing else. It only works for an organisation with one property; with more properties you download the export on Settings. - At the bottom is "For the developer" with example code. The full explanation for the builder is in API and webhooks.
- A till posts its items to the booking's bill; see Bill.
