Attention
What is waiting for your decision, what Noren already did, and what Noren may do without asking.
Noren keeps an eye on your property and spots things that need you: a guest who still has to pay, a check-in not filled in yet, a dirty room while someone arrives today. Here you see them in one place, with the buttons next to them.
Waiting for you
One line per item: who it is about, and why. The buttons sit on the same line.
- "Do it" carries out the suggestion, for example preparing a reminder or freeing up a room.
- "Send" sends a draft reply straight away. To read it first, open "More".
- "Dismiss" drops the item.
- "More" shows the full sentence, the amount, the booking, the conversation or the draft.
For an age at check-in that differs from the booking, the buttons are "Extra line" and "Do nothing". For "Duplicate guests", "Do it" merges two lines of the guest file; see Guests.
Noren did
What Noren carried out by itself, day by day, newest first. Where possible, "Undo" is next to it. A line you undo stays visible, so you can see it worked.
Changed your mind? A line you undid has "Redo" next to it. It carries out the same action again, with today's checks: is the room still free, is the booking still there, are the nights still for sale. If it is no longer possible, nothing changes and one sentence says why, for example "The room has been taken in the meantime." If it works, the line shows as done again and you can undo it again. Undo and redo work as often as you like, with no time limit, except for merging guests: that works up to thirty days after the guests were merged. "Redo" only brings back what "Undo" reversed; something you dismissed does not come back. It needs the same permission as "Do it", and both go into the Activity log with your name.
What may Noren do on its own?
Behind this button in the header you choose, per kind, what happens:
- "Ask": it goes to Waiting for you and you decide.
- "Do it": Noren carries it out and lists it under Noren did, where you can undo it.
- "Off": Noren does not watch for this kind.
Doing it automatically is possible for "Synchronisation", "Operations", "Price", "Restrictions" and "Duplicate guests". The other kinds contain a decision that is yours.
- For prices: at most one step of 5% per night per day, never outside your limits.
- For restrictions: the minimum stay of loose nights goes down, only within the number of days under "Within the next" (14 by default, at most 60). Further ahead it stays a question. A loose night is an enclosed gap of one or two nights, shorter than the minimum, or the free night before a booked night; there the minimum on arrival goes to one. You switch it off per room type on Rates. You also see how many extra loose nights this sold this month.
- For duplicate guests: only guests with the same phone number are merged by themselves. With the same name and the same country of the booking, Noren always asks. Date of birth and nationality from check-in do not count: they are only for the filing.
If you approve a kind unchanged a few times, Noren asks once whether it may handle it from now on. Only people who may set up the property can change these choices.
Good to know
- The same items appear on Today as a second line under the guest's name.
- Every action here goes into the Activity log.
