Getting started
Sign in
Signing in with your password, a passkey or a code from your email, and what to do if you have lost your password.
The sign-in page lets you in with the email address of your account. You then land on Today for your property. There are three ways: with your password, with a passkey, or with a code we email you.
With your password
Fill in "Email address" and "Password" and click "Sign in". After five failed attempts in a row we ask you to wait a minute.
With a passkey
If you added a passkey on Your profile, click "Use a passkey" and unlock your device with your face, your finger or your PIN. You type no password and no code from your app: a passkey is enough on its own, also with two-factor on. If the passkey is on your phone or in your password manager, the browser sometimes offers it as soon as you tap "Email address". It also works in Noren as an app on your home screen and in Safari on the iPhone.
If it does not work, the screen says so, under the button. That also happens with a passkey you removed: it may still be on your device, but not with us. Sign in with your password instead.
With a code from your email
Click "Sign in with a code from your email", enter your address and click "Send me a code". You get a six digit code that is valid for ten minutes; type it in and you are in. This is the easiest way if you have Noren installed as an app on your phone. A link from an email opens in the browser there, outside the app, and a code you simply type in.
The screen never says whether we know an address. If no code arrives, check that you typed the address correctly.
Forgot your password
Click "Forgot your password" and enter your address. You get a code. With it you choose a new password of at least twelve characters and click "Save password". Then sign in once as usual with the new password.
An invitation in the app
Were you invited to a property, and do you have Noren as an app on your phone? A link from an email opens in the browser there, where you are not signed in. So the page behind the link, and the email itself, show a code of eight characters. In the app, choose "I have an invitation code" on the sign-in page, type the code and click "Go to the invitation". You are then on the same invitation, but in the app. Sign in there with the address you were invited at and click "Accept access". After signing in you come back to the invitation by yourself. The code works as long as the invitation does: seven days.
Already signed in
If you open the sign-in page while you are already in, it shows which account you use, with "Go to your dashboard" and "Sign out".
An account without a property
If your address does not belong to any property yet, you cannot get past the sign-in page. Were you invited, use "I have an invitation code". Otherwise, ask the owner of the property for an invitation, or sign up with another address for a property of your own (Sign up).
Language
The dashboard opens in the language you chose yourself. If you have not chosen one, it opens in Dutch or English, following the language of the sign-in page. From the Spanish page that is English.
Two-factor
If you can invite members or touch the money, we ask you to switch on two-factor, with an authenticator on your phone. You get two weeks to do so. You switch it on under "Two-factor" in Your profile.
With two-factor on, the sign-in screen asks for the code from your app under "One more step" after your password, and also after a code from your email or a new password. Without that code you do not get in. Lost your phone? Type one of your recovery codes there. If those are gone too, the address to email us is under the field.
More in Two-factor.
