Invoices
What Noren does and does not do today with invoices to your guests, and how Verifactu fits in.
Making an invoice for your guest from Noren is not available yet, in any country. What there is: the bill of every stay, with VAT per line, and the invoices you receive from us for your subscription.
What you do now
Make the invoice for your guest the way you do today, with your own invoicing software or through your accountant. Take the amounts from the "Bill" tab in the panel of the booking. Each line there has its own VAT rate, so accommodation, extras and city tax each go on their own line. See VAT.
What is already in place
The parts for an invoice to your guest are built, but no button uses them yet:
- an invoice number per series, without gaps;
- VAT per line, with a total per rate under the line;
- a credit note as its own document with its own number: an issued invoice never changes again;
- a PDF in Dutch, English, Spanish and German, with room for a QR code.
This is not an invoice
A property in Spain gets the sentence "This is not an invoice." at the bottom of the confirmation email, the other emails to the guest, the confirmation page and the stay page, in the guest's language, with the Spanish one added (Este documento no es una factura.) when the guest uses another language. In Spain a confirmation with a total could otherwise already be read as a simplified invoice. A property outside Spain does not see this sentence. The booking reference stays as it is.
Verifactu
Verifactu is the Spanish set of rules for invoicing software: every invoice gets a record that is chained to the previous one and goes to the Spanish tax office, with a QR code on the invoice. Portugal, Italy and France each have a requirement of that kind. Noren issues no invoices in such a country without a working connection for that country, and there is none yet for any of the four.
For Spain, Verifactu is planned through a certified partner. The legal deadline is 1 January 2027 for companies and 1 July 2027 for the self-employed. For a property in Spain you see where it stands on Integrations; a property elsewhere has no Verifactu row there. More in Verifactu.
Invoices from us
We invoice you for your Noren subscription. Those invoices are on Settings under "Invoices", each as a PDF. See Subscription.
