The dashboard, screen by screen
Your property
The details a guest sees about your property, and the block that puts the booking engine on your own site.
This is what a guest gets to see about your property: the name, the address, the times, and how to reach you. At the bottom is the block that puts the booking engine on your own site. The billing details of your subscription are under Settings.
What a guest goes through when checking in online (steps, your own questions, house rules and signature) you set up under Online check-in; see Online check-in.
Name, address and times
- "Property name" appears on the booking page and above every email to a guest.
- "Country" decides which rules apply: VAT, tourist tax, what check-in asks and, in Spain, guest registration and Verifactu. See Spain and other countries.
- "Time zone" is your property's. Every date hangs on it: which day an arrival is, when a night starts and, in Spain, when the reporting duty runs.
- "Check-in from" and "Check-out until" go in the confirmation and in the mail before arrival. Check-out has to fall before check-in.
- "Tourist tax": choose your region. The list only shows the regions of the country above it; if you change the country, a region from another country falls back to No tourist tax. The rate, the exemption and the maximum number of nights come from that region's regulation. If your municipality adds something, fill in the municipal surcharge; that works in every country.
- "Tourism registration number", only for a property in Spain: the number your region gave you, in Andalusia from the Registro de Turismo. It appears in your booking engine and on your booking page. In Andalusia, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Valencia your property does not go live without it, see Publish. If every room has its own number, enter it per room under Rooms. Noren does not ask for a national registration number.
- "Contact for the guest": phone and email. Leave both empty and the booking page carries no contact line.
- "Where guests leave a review": an https address. Fill it in and there is a button in the mail a guest gets the day after leaving.
Save with "Save property details".
The booking engine on your own site
- Under "Language of the booking engine", choose the language of the page the block goes on. If you have an English and a Spanish page, paste a separate block on each.
- Click "Copy" and paste the block into your site.
- "Load the booking engine here" shows it straight away with your own rooms and prices. Nothing is booked until you pay.
"Open your own booking page" opens the page Noren hosts for your property. More in The booking engine and The booking page.
The look
Five choices: an accent colour (one hex code from your house style), the font for the headings, the font for the text, the corners and the spacing. A colour with too little contrast is not accepted. Save with "Save the look".
The block carries your choices inside it. So after you change the look, paste the block onto your site again.
The version
Under "Booking engine version" you choose whether your booking engine follows the standard or stays pinned to one version, with per version how many searches became a booking. Save with "Save version". How a new version first runs next to the old one is in The booking engine.
Houses you recommend
You can recommend other connected properties, with one line in your own words. They appear at the bottom of your booking page and in the mail after a stay. You can only choose properties whose booking page is open. "Withdraw" removes one. Each one shows how many guests followed it.
